ASSESSMENT

• Determining the existence of a problem is probably the most important step towards resolution.
• Determining that a problem doesnt exist is equally important.
• CREATE's Assessment does just that in an organized way.

Assessments uses information gathered from the referral source and concerned others.  Assessments looks at chemicals and their effect on health and family, social life, finances and job performances, physical, mental and emotional state, even the law.

Once all data is gathered, the assessment staff works with the individual on each problem, explores the possible connections between the problem and use of chemicals, and helps individuals begin to make responsible chemical health decisions.

Most important, if a problem stems from areas other than chemical health, CREATE quickly recommends treatment from an expert in that area.  Only about half of assessment clients go on to CREATE's programs, the rest are referred to other experts.

What's more CREATE checks on the individuals progress all along the way to insure success.  Over 95% of CREATE's referrals remain in recommended programs.
